The 2022 midterms are underway. The guide below will help you learn when and where to cast your ballot as well as answer other questions about the elections.

Timeline
7:30 a.m. Nov. 8: Election Day voting begins
7:30 p.m. Nov. 8: Polls close. People currently in line may still vote.
Noon Nov. 14: Provisional ballots discussed, results certified.
Dec. 6: Runoffs, if necessary.
When Can I Vote?
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022.
Arkansas polls open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. If you’re still in line when the polls close, you should be allowed to cast your ballot.
Where Can I Vote?
Follow this link to access maps of vote centers in each county in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. Voters in these counties may vote in any vote center in their county.

Which districts do I belong to?
You live in a U.S. Congressional District, an Arkansas Senate District, an Arkansas House District and various other local districts.
Many of these have changed since the borders were redrawn in 2021.

Can I Vote?
If you're a registered Arkansas voter, you should be allowed to cast a ballot. You can click or tap here to verify your registration with the Secretary of State's office.
The registration deadline for the 2022 midterms is Oct. 10.
What if I've moved?
If you've moved within the same county and congressional district, you may update your address at your polling location.
If you're moved within the state but to a new county and/or congressional district, you have to update your address with your new county clerk before Election Day.
If you're new to the state, you'll have to register to vote.
Absentee Voting
Many of the rules and deadlines surrounding absentee voting have changed over the past two years. We talked with an elections official in Washington County to sort those changes out. FOLLOW THIS LINK TO LEARN ABOUT THE NEW RULES.
Do I need ID?
Yes. You'll need to have an approved photo ID when you vote. It can't be expired for more than four years.

Can I see a sample ballot?

Problems at the polls?
